Get your builder license.
You run building jobs. With a builder license, you can sign them in your own name. We do most of the paperwork for you.

- What NSW asks for
- Certificate IV in Building and Construction (CPC40120), plus either a Diploma of Building and Construction or a carpentry or bricklaying license
What the license lets you do.
On someone else’s license, they set your pay. With your own, you set the price and keep the profit.
What it covers, on the regulator’s own page
- Sign home building contracts in your own name, including jobs over $5,000.
- Run the whole job, from the quote to the handover.
- Hire your own subcontractors and grow your own business.

Questions people ask us.
Something else on your mind?
Ask us on WhatsAppDo I need a license for small jobs?
In NSW, you need a contractor license for home building work over $5,000 in labour and materials, including GST. Some specialist work needs a license at any price.
Does my overseas experience count?
It can help you get the qualification. For the license itself, NSW wants experience under a licensed builder. Tell us your history and we’ll give you a straight answer.
How long does it take, and what does it cost?
It depends on your experience and what you already hold. After the free check, you get the full cost and a timeframe for your case.
Will I have to go back to class?
Usually not. The RTO assesses the skills you already have. If something is missing, you may need a short course for those parts.
I work in another state. Can you help?
Yes. Every state has its own licensing body and rules. We help builders all over Australia, so tell us where you work.
