Who we are

Licence Pro AU is the business of Mahdi Jaffari (ABN 87 129 737 651), at Unit 11, 41–45 Rickard Rd, Bankstown NSW 2200. We help people apply for contractor, trade, automotive and labour hire licenses. We are an independent consultancy, not a government agency.

What we collect

When you contact us, we collect what you choose to tell us, usually:

• your name, phone number and email address;
• your trade, where you work, and your work history;
• the documents your license needs, such as your ID, references, pay records, qualifications and photos of your work;
• anything else you tell us about your situation.

Your application may also need sensitive information, such as a police check. We only collect it with your consent, and only because the regulator asks for it.

This website

The website itself collects very little. It doesn’t use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and it doesn’t keep what you type.

• Two small cookies remember your choices: your language (for a year) and your colour theme.
• The free eligibility check keeps your answers in your browser tab until you close it. Nothing is sent until you press send. Then your answers come to our inbox by email, through our email provider Resend, and if you gave your email address you get a copy. You can send them by WhatsApp or your own email instead.
• The document checklists on our license pages keep your ticks on your own device.
• The map of our office loads map pictures from OpenFreeMap, which sees your device’s internet address, as any website you visit does.
• Our web host keeps standard logs, such as internet addresses and pages visited, to keep the site running and secure.

Links to WhatsApp, Google Maps, Apple Maps, Instagram, Facebook and government websites take you to those services, which have their own privacy policies.

How we use it

We use your information to:

• tell you whether you’re likely to qualify, and what your license asks for;
• prepare your application, and arrange your police check and skills assessment;
• keep in touch with you about your application;
• keep the records the law asks us to keep.

We don’t sell your information, and we don’t use it to market anything else to you.

Who we share it with

Only the people your application needs, and only with your OK:

• the registered training organisation (RTO) that assesses your skills;
• the police check service;
• the regulator that decides your license, such as Building Commission NSW;
• people who help us run the business, such as our accountant or IT provider, who must keep it confidential.

We may also share it where the law requires it. Some of the services we use, such as our email providers and WhatsApp, may store information outside Australia.

How we keep it safe

We keep your documents securely, let only the people who work on your application see them, and delete or destroy them when we no longer need them for your application or by law.

Seeing or correcting your information

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, or to correct it, at any time. Email Mahdi@licence-pro.com.au or call 0470 255 225, and we’ll reply within 30 days.

Complaints

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, tell us first and we’ll try to put it right. If you’re still not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
