Get your glazing license.
You fit windows, balustrades and glass fences on other people’s jobs. A glazing license lets you take this work in your own name. We arrange the Certificate III and send a complete application.

- What NSW asks for
- Certificate III in Glass and Glazing (MSF30422), or an older version like MSF30418
What the license lets you do.
On someone else’s license, they set the price. With your own, you quote windows and balustrades to the owner and keep the profit.
What it covers, on the regulator’s own page
- Take home glazing jobs over $5,000 in your own name.
- Install glass in windows, doors, fences, balustrades and partitions.
- Make and fit the frames that hold the glass.

Questions people ask us.
Something else on your mind?
Ask us on WhatsAppDo I need a license for small glazing jobs?
Home glazing needs a license once the job is worth more than $5,000 in labour and materials, including GST. Glass costs a lot, so a few big panels can reach that.
What counts as glazing work?
Putting glass or similar materials into windows, doors, fences, balustrades and partitions. It also covers making the frames and fitting ready-made windows.
Does overseas glazing experience count?
Your overseas jobs can support your assessment for the Australian Certificate III. For the license, NSW accepts only Australian qualifications.
What will it cost, and how long will it take?
It depends on what you hold now and how complete your evidence is. After the free check, you have the full cost and a timeframe.
I work outside NSW. Can you help?
Yes. Glazing rules change from state to state. Tell us where you work, and we’ll look up what applies.
